My first IMATS experience (2012)

As someone who is somewhat of a new comer to the make-up world, I had wanted to go to IMATS last year but this was the first year that I've been. I had a truly brilliant time; if you haven't been before I would thoroughly recommend it but there are a few things I wish I'd known before I had gone. So for anyone thinking of going for the first time I thought this might be helpful for some tips :)

• Take Cash with you! - When I went I was carrying cash luckily, and I think a few of the stalls do have card machines but most don't. 
• If you are planning on buying make-up there, for your kit or personal use. Buy the expensive stuff! Don't go to IMATS and get the trade show prices on stuff that you could easily get at any time, I personally made a beeline for the Makeup Forever, Illamasqua and Inglot stalls! 
• Wear comfortable shoes - You're going to be walking around all day, and although those heels might seem a good idea at the time, trust me you will be regretting them when you're climbing up the hill to Ally Pally! 
• Go and watch the speakers - Personally, that was a total highlight for me watching the speakers, I felt like a learnt so much and they were incredibly interesting
